How to combine DIR9001 with PMD100
If you use 16bit (I recommend this mode, because the CD only has 16bit), the following settings can be used:
DIR9001:
25 feet FMT0 L
26 feet FMT1 L
PMD100:
13 feet JUST H
14 feet BCPL L
If you use 24bit, the following settings can be used:
DIR9001:
25 feet FMT0 L
26 feet FMT1 H
PMD100:
13 feet JUST L
14 feet BCPL L
PMD100 output:
10 11 pins, depending on your dac IC, for example, 20bit is L H, 24bit is H H.
12 feet COB H hope to help people in need.
To add, on the DIR9001 TO CS8412 board, FMT0 and FMT1 correspond to the format setting jumpers J0 and J1.
Brothers playing PMD100, please pay attention, it’s best to make a good voice
19-pin SCAL is set to H.
When pins 10 and 11 are both low level, it is 16bit
So also set pin 11 to L
General CD is 44.1KHZ/16Bit
But HDCD is 44.1KHZ/20Bit
If PMD100 is set
13 H
14 L
Will it not receive the HDCD format?
Even if HDCD uses 20bit recording when recording, it will be converted back to the 44.1KHz/16bit format of the CD when the final CD record is produced. It is impossible to be 44.1KHz/20bit, so there is no need to worry about this issue.
I think the steel brother has misunderstood the concept. PMD100''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s 13-pin is set to L, which is left-justified. The received data can be increased to 24bit. If there is no up-conversion between it and the DIR chip, it is still CD Original information, when added
After the up-conversion chip is input, the data is recalculated, regardless of whether the output is 16bit or 24bit after the up-conversion, the HDCD information will be lost, which has nothing to do with the PMD100 setting. Also
The external PMD100 only supports up to 55KHz, so it is impossible to access up-frequency, but the general up-frequency chip can either up-frequency or down-frequency, or only up-bit and convert the data format, whether it is up-frequency or up-bit, HDCD information will be lost.
There is also a question asked by some enthusiasts what do H and L mean.
Let me explain here: (Actually, this is from electronic common sense.)
H=High level
L=low level
