Amber III is our newly developed main headphone amplifier. Compared with the old products, it has a leap in quality and improved. It inherits many advantages of GAX and forms its own characteristics.
Amber III is a pure Class A headphone amplifier, optimized for current and heat dissipation, driving low-impedance headphones without annoying thermal noise, and has a very low output impedance.
Amber Three provides two sets of XLR balanced, two sets of RCA single-ended signal inputs; one set of XLR balanced, two sets of RCA single-ended pre-amp outputs; one set of four-core balanced, 6.35 single-ended, 2*XLR balanced headphone outputs.
Compared with previous products, Amber III has redesigned the circuit structure of the whole machine, fully balanced amplifier circuit structure, 4 identical independent amplifier units provide powerful driving force, carefully optimized tuning, and never loudly speak loudly. The whole machine is powered by a 120W transformer, which provides sufficient power reserve.

Compared with the previous generation XMOS U8, XU-208 uses a higher production process, and its performance is almost doubled, reaching a processing capacity of 1000MIPS. GOLDENWAVE designed a specially developed clock system for XU-208, providing it with extremely low noise and extremely high-precision clock signals to give full play to the performance of XU-208. The USB end supports up to 384kHz/32bit PCM music signal or DSD 256.
Sapphire 3 adopts the digital-analog hybrid phase-locked loop clock system newly developed by GOLDENWAVE, which provides word clock input, and can also be connected with a higher-precision word clock.
Sapphire 3 adopts a newly optimized 4-channel discrete component pure class A fully balanced preamplifier circuit, and 4 independent amplifying units that are identical. The current and gain distribution at all levels of the amplifier are optimized and the output voltage swing is close to the power supply voltage. It has low output impedance and high drive capability and dynamic range.
Sapphire 3 has a pre-output mode, which outputs variable-level audio signals. Volume adjustment is no longer in the form of relay switching resistance, but a higher-level solution. Each channel is controlled by a piece of R2R ladder network, and its internal resistance network is used to achieve volume adjustment. This is a complete upgrade, with better linearity and user experience.
